Decent trip, some small issues

I just got back from a Hiking Tour in the National Parks. The overall experience was good, our guide was knowledgeable, and the trails were amazing. We saw some incredible scenery. My only real gripe was the communication about the pre-trip packing list; a few things weren't as clear as they could have been, which led to some confusion on the first day. Delivery of the initial tour documents was prompt, and the booking process online was straightforward. It was a solid trip, but that small detail could be improved.

Good value for a group trip

I booked the European Adventure Tour for my family and was really trying to get the best deal. The early booking savings helped a lot, probably saved us a few hundred dollars right there. It made the overall cost feel much more reasonable for a guided trip. Everything felt worth it once we were there; the guides were great and the logistics were smooth. Definitely felt like I got good value for my money.

Did a Biking Tour. Booking was easy. Trip was well-organized. Enjoyed the routes and the group. No complaints.

Hey, thinking about booking one of those hiking tours for next year. What's the typical group size like? I don't want to be crammed in with 50 people.

Nah, they're pretty small. I went on one to Patagonia last spring, and there were only like 12 of us. Felt really personal.

Yeah, they usually keep them under 20 people. It's one of their selling points, actually, so you get more attention from the guide and stuff.

Does anyone know if EF Adventures is legit? Saw some cool looking trips but never heard of them before.

M Mark H. 2 months ago
Totally legit. They're actually part of a much bigger travel company, EF Education First, which has been around forever. My aunt has done a few of their trips.

Yeah, they're good. I mean, they're basically the active travel branch of Go Ahead Tours, so they have a solid reputation from that side too.
